The short answer: four easy Christmas 3D builds: a tree made by rolling a triangle panel into a cone, a star made of two star panels glued back to back, a snowman made of three stacked balls, and a gift box made with the cube technique.
These are small, quick projects that make good tree ornaments and table decorations. Each one builds on a technique you already know from the other 3D guides.
The four builds
- Christmas tree: one triangle panel, ironed one-sided, rolled into a cone and fused at the seam. Add a star bead on top and a trunk strip.
- Star: two star panels, ironed one-sided, glued back to back. Attach a loop to hang it.
- Snowman: three round discs pressed into balls while warm, stacked from large to small, with a face and scarf glued on.
- Gift box: a small cube with a cross-shaped ribbon strip across the top and a bow bead.
- Wreath: a flat ring with berries, easiest of all, no 3D needed.
Ornament tips
- Add the hanging loop before closing the piece, so the loop is fused into the seam.
- Use mini beads for ornaments, they are lighter for the tree.
- Iron both sides of ornaments fully so they survive a season of handling.
- Make a set of four or six to give as a gift in a small box.
