The short answer: a standard square pegboard has 29 by 29 pegs and measures about 15.5 by 15.5 cm (roughly 6 by 6 inches) including the edge. The large 58 by 58 board measures about 29 cm per side. Mini boards are smaller and spaced for 2.6 mm beads.
Board size determines how big your finished piece will be. Since every standard bead is 5 mm, a 29 by 29 grid makes a finished piece of about 14.5 by 14.5 cm once beads melt together. Here is how the numbers add up.

- Round boards: 15 to 25 cm across, depending on the shape and brand.
- Mini boards: about 14 cm for the large mini grid, but the peg spacing is different, so pieces come out roughly half the size.
Do all brands match?
