The short answer: yes, even fully broken pieces can be rebuilt. Lay the fragments on a pegboard in the right positions, fill missing beads, and re-iron the whole thing. It fuses back into one piece.
A project usually falls apart for one reason: it was fused on one side only, or fused while the design was still warm. The beads themselves are fine, which means the repair is a second, better ironing job.
Rebuild steps
- Collect every fragment and check the design is complete.
- Place the fragments on a pegboard, matching bead holes exactly.
- Drop fresh beads into any empty holes where beads fell out.
- Cover with fresh parchment and iron at medium heat, ten seconds per area.
- Flip and iron the back the same way, then cool flat under a book.
