Using the pattern generator
Is the pattern generator really free?
Yes. The bead pattern editor is free with no account and no watermarks: drawing, editing, and PNG/PDF export cost nothing. The optional AI photo-to-pattern conversion includes 3 free conversions per day; after that each conversion is $0.50, or less with a credit pack.
Do I need an account?
No. You can open the generator, upload a photo, and download a pattern without registering. An account is only needed to buy AI credits, pattern packs, or a Premium membership.
Which image formats can I upload?
PNG, JPG, and WebP. For best results use a clear, front-facing subject on a plain background — see our photo-to-pattern guide for examples.
How big can a pattern be?
Free patterns go up to 52×52 pegs (four standard 29×29 pegboards). Premium unlocks 78×78, 104×104, and 156×156 canvases for large wall-art pieces.
Which bead brands are supported?
Perler, Hama, Artkal S-series, and Artkal C-series — 568 colors total, with official color codes on every pattern. Our color library shows every shade plus cross-brand matches measured in ΔE.
Downloading & printing
How do I download my pattern?
Click Export pattern in the editor and choose PNG or PDF. The sheet includes the grid, bead counts per color, and color codes. Downloads are free and unlimited.
Why does my printout look the wrong size?
Print at 100% scale (“Actual size”), not “Fit to page”. One grid square should equal one bead (5 mm). If your printer adds margins, the pattern still works — only the physical size changes slightly.
Can I get a shopping list of beads?
Yes — use Export usage in the editor. It lists every color with its brand code and exact bead count, so you can order bags before you start. Our bead-count guide explains the math.

How does AI pricing work?
Every visitor gets 3 free AI conversions per day. Additional conversions cost $0.50 each, charged from your credit balance. Credit packs: 20 credits $10, 60 credits $30, 150 credits $75 — credits never expire.
What does Premium add?
Premium membership unlocks the large canvas sizes (78×78 and above) and member-only pattern packs. See the full comparison on the pricing page.
Which payment methods do you accept?
PayPal and major credit/debit cards at checkout. Prices are in USD; your bank handles conversion.
Refunds
Can I get a refund?
Yes — unused AI credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase, and we refund any failed conversion that still charged your balance. Email [email protected] with your order number; details are in our refund policy.
How long does a refund take?
We approve eligible refunds within 24 hours. The money returns via your original payment method in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or PayPal.
Copyright & usage
Can I sell items made from your patterns?
Yes — physical bead creations you make are yours to sell. What you may not do is resell, redistribute, or republish the pattern files themselves, free or paid.
Can I upload any image?
Upload only images you own or have permission to use. Patterns of trademarked characters (Pokémon, Disney, etc.) are fine for personal crafts, but selling them requires the rights holder’s license — that’s on you, not us.
How do I file a DMCA takedown?
Email [email protected] with “DMCA” in the subject, the URL of the content, and proof of ownership. We respond to valid notices within 48 hours.
Safety
Are fuse beads safe for children?
Fuse beads suit ages 5+ with adult supervision. Beads are small parts — keep them away from children under 3. Ironing is strictly an adult job: the iron reaches 150 °C+ and beads can stick to skin.
What iron settings should I use?
Medium heat, no steam, 10–20 seconds per side with ironing paper between the iron and beads. Our complete ironing guide has timings for every bead brand.
